Look What I Got!

I am very excited.... I received my first Ottobre design magazine today.  I haven't had a chance to read it yet, just looked at the pictures but so far I like it.  It doesn't have any wacky out there designs, not any real innovative stuff but I like that it is stuff I would wear on a day-to-day basis.

The paper for the pattern sheets is very good strong paper and white, not like the pretty poor quality browny paper burda uses that makes it more difficult to see the pattern lines.  The collection of patterns is actually a collection ie stuff that you can mix and match with a wide range of items ... swim suit, pinafore, some nice skirts and shirts.  Good basics really, that look quick to make up.

I have an idea for the skirt pictured above already but am inundated with college work so maybe that will be a winter skirt and I also like the look of the leggings pattern too.  I'll show when I have made something. I'll let you know what more opinions I have when I read it too.  I do want to say how cheap the subscription is ... I think it was 16 euro/23 aud and it couldn't have been easier. They confirm straight away.  I didn't get the subscription with the 4 children's issues as I don't think I'll make that many kids things - just the 2 women's issues per year.  It's an ongoing subscription too; which means if you don't want it any more you have to advise them.  I'm really pleased.
